I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge such a prestigious show, it was a real honour. I had such a wonderful day, my stewards were brilliant and battled with the gazebo, sheets and books in the wind! Food was delicious!!! Weather was dry but blowy and we had a nice big level ring.
I cannot thank all exhibitors enough for such a wonderful and quality entry. Everyone was on good form and sportsmanlike.

Junior Dog (3,1)
1st Peach – Erpingham Sebastian of Kilbourne – BD & RBIS
2nd Peach – Kilbourne Merak
Two promising young males I am sure will and have switched places on other days. Both showing the right degree of immaturity at this age. Good breed type on both. Masculine heads, dark eyes and good ears. Both raw. Both masculine but elegant, good flat bone and feet. They are both at different stages, so at the moment I preferred the front assembly of 1 who was showing better reach and I preferred the rear on second who was showing more drive from behind.
Special Beginners Dog (2,0)
1st Winstanley – Leonard of the Shadows
2.5yo handsome boy, a better size then 2nd. Moved out well showing reach and drive. Elegant neck, sufficient angulation in front, prefer ribs to be carried slightly further back. Topline correct. Well angulated rear but slightly lacking width in second thigh.
2nd Tan & Whittle – Pyefleet Victor Two
Nearly 4 years old, very tall male, classic head with correct ear placement but prefer a darker eye. Layback of shoulder is okay but lacks return of upper arm. Moved well. Prefer better width throughout and needs to carry more weight.
Special Yearling (2,2)
Undergraduate Dog (2,1)
1st Nichols & Collins – Kensteen Laird of Islay of Ballygrand TAF - RBD
Very handsome male, good breed type and type I like. Good height, not too tall, nothing exaggerated, good front showing reach and best rear of the day showing real power. Strong bladed bone, good feet, could have moved faster but was pleasing to watch.
Post Graduate Dog (5,2)
1st Wragg – Fritzens Drum to Neroche (IMP DEU)
2nd Taylor – Orminstar Gabriel Norman
Two very nice boys of good breed type. Both elegant and handsome, classic heads and with dark eyes and correct ear placement. I preferred 2nd in many ways but sadly spoiled himself on the move, having a jolly!! Fronts pleasing, both with prominent prosternum, strong bone, feet nice and tight, topline better on 2nd than 1st. Today 2nd was out moved by 1st in profile and coming and going.
Open Dog (3,0)
1st Stuart & Holt – Ollandsheart Abraham
Handsome male I have appreciated on a previous judging appointment. Lovely breed type, strong but elegant. Coat in good order, harsh and tidy. Strong neck flowing into well angulated shoulders, deep chest, topline spot on, strong deep loin. Well angulated rear but tends to sink behind when stacked and on move. Good in profile. Well presented.
2nd Wilce Quinton – Hyndsight Skirl with Kirjojax
Elegant 4year old male with nice head, dark eyes and decent fill under eye. Decent neck but prefer a better angulated shoulder. Deep enough in chest. Topline could be curvier but nice long slope to croup. Slightly over angulated behind. Presented and handled well.

Puppy Bitch (1,0)
1st Peach – Fine Art Von Der Oelmuhle at Kibourne – BPB & BPIS
Very much my type! Couldn’t take my eyes off of her on the move. Elegant, classic breed type, beautiful head, darkest of eyes, elegant set on from skull to neck. Lovely lay back of shoulder, strong topline and underline, loin deep and strong, super strong well angulated hindquarters. Feet strong and knuckled. Pleasing curvy outline. Moved super and from all angles. Expertly handled and presented. Look forward to following her showing career.
Junior Bitch (2,2)
Special Beginners Bitch (2,0)
1st Spring-Arnold – Chuilinn Bellina
Pleasing bitch which was well presented and beautifully handled. Like her size and length, not overdone. Classic head and beautiful expression. Strong neck, well angulated shoulders, flat bone, strong pasterns with correct slope. Nice and deep with ribs carried well back. Loved her topline. Strong hindquarters. Pleasing on the move from all angles.
2nd Seymour Jackson – Kilbourne Lucy
Beautiful bitch, elegant and an absolutely stunning head with far away expression. Great harsh coat. Front and rear assembly was good, topline strong and curvy, not much to fault, but if I had to, I would prefer a slightly more breadth across hips. Expertly handled by her runner.
Special Yearling (2,2)
Undergraduate Bitch (2,0)
1st Tan & Helps – Beardswood Uliana
Curvy bitch I had admired many times before. Type I like. Beautiful head with far away expression, correct ears, elegant set on from skull to neck, well angulated shoulders, straight limbs with good bone. Curvy topline and underline. Strong second thigh on well angulated hind quarters but would prefer a little more width throughout. Presented and handled beautifully.
2nd Faircloth – Chuilinn Lyriel at Calbraidh
A bitch who enjoys her dinner. Nice type though, classic head, similar to her Auntie (1st SBB).
Front assembly pleasing, topline strong, loin deep, well angulated hindquarters but a little stiff on the move behind. Shows good reach in front. Well presented and handled.
Post Graduate Bitch (7,3)
1st Taylor – Ormanstar Fast Cat Betty – BB and BIS
Curvy, elegant 2.5yo bitch. Head to die for, dark eyes, neatly folded ears, lovely expression. Elegant set on from skull to neck flowing gently into well angulated shoulders, straight clean limbs with bone and well knuckled feet. Chest deep and ribbing long, topline and underline spot on, strong hindquarters and good width to second thigh. Nothing exaggerated. Balanced on the move and stacked. Not much to fault at all. One I will look forward to watching in the future.
2nd Lucas & Dargonne – Hyndsight Reason To Believe
Nice neat little bitch, have seen her many times before but was a little loose in topline today. Lovely head with the darkest eyes of the day, neat ears. Smartly constructed all through but a little close behind on the move but the wind had picked up and a child flying a kite next to us which had unsettled many bitches. Beautifully presented and handled.
Open Bitch (11,4)
1st Helps – Beardswood Ulyssa - RBB
2nd Wragg – Neroche Juno
Two very nice bitches of different types. Breed type on both was lovely, but I personally preferred the type of 2nd. Both have beautiful heads, elegant and ooze femininity. Prefer the front assembly of 2nd and the rear assembly of 1st. Prefer length of leg on 1st. Topline on 1st flows. Both such beautiful bitches and moved effortlessly around the ring. Both presented and handled expertly.
Veteran Bitch (6,2)
I was so delighted to see such a wonderful turnout of the older ladies! I always find a slight lump in my throat judging the veterans, they just melt my heart!
1st Seymour Jackson – Cassacre Aelfrida of Ghiltan - BVIS
10year old bitch, beautiful head with wise expression, big mature coat, balanced all through and powered around the large ring showing true reach and drive, holding her topline. Expertly handled.
2nd Wheeler – Meneghy’s Star
7year old beautiful girl, not showing her age, full of beans! Classic head, tidy coat, strong neck, well angulated front but slightly over angulated behind. Topline still strong. Beautiful in profile and coming towards, a little loose going away.
